By the time Sam Moore was elected the first mayor of the newly incorporated city of Louisburg in November 1882, the area had been home to The Confederated Tribes of Wea, Piankashaw, Peoria, and Kaskaskia, who came to what is now northeast Miami County in 1827.

Ten years ago our family was looking for a place to live. We visited every community within driving distance of my work at UMKC. Finally, we discovered Louisburg. We knew immediately we had found a home. You don't have to spend much time in Louisburg before you realize that this is a very special community. What makes it so special? It is the people -- their friendly and welcoming spirit. Visit us and you'll agree. Louisburg is a great place to live, work, shop, and play. We have excellent schools, highly qualified and caring teachers in every classroom, compassionate churches, active civic organizations, effective local government, a strong business community, and an abundance of leisure and recreational opportunities for all ages. We are proud of our history yet we embrace the future. We accept the desirability of growth yet we insist that growth be controlled so that it not destroy the sense of community that brings us together.Explore our website, visit our community, shop in our stores, have a look at our schools, worship in our churches -- we think you will like what you see. Our experience tells us that many of the people who visit Louisburg want to come back and spend more time here -- and often that includes moving their family to a community "where people live by choice."

If that is your experience, I would be happy to help you look for that one special home that fits your family's needs and budget.

Send me an email and tell me of your interest.

To help you get started our Gallery of Homes features a few homes in different communities and different price ranges listed by the real estate professionals who work for Crown Realty as well as by other realtors in the area. I can show any of these homes but I will also search thousands of other available properties for you and arrange a showing of those that appear most likely to meet your needs. If you would like to view any of these homes or you are interested in viewing other homes, please click here to send me an email.
